A graduate of Loyola University Chicago (Go Ramblers!), he previously covered hospital leadership issues for the American Hospital Association's in-house magazine, and business/government news for the weekly newspaper in Oak Park, IL, where he grew up. He lives on the north side of Chicago with his wife, Jenny.
