Emily Mongan joined McKnight's in May 2015, shortly after graduating from the University of Minnesota with a degree in journalism. She has worked for the Minnesota Daily, Minnesota Parent Magazine, the St. Paul Pioneer Press and Minnesota Monthly Magazine. She also worked as an editorial assistant for the University of Minnesota's Extension program, and served as cities editor for The Wake, the University's student-run magazine. She is a native of Milwaukee. In her free time she enjoys cooking, traveling, watching TV, and spending way too much money on theater and concert tickets.
